It turns out that Covid-19 has impacted our lives more on an emotional level than economically by creating unnecessary panic among the masses. Today everywhere discussions are going on regarding the various side-effects of this virus as well as its presence.

The impact of the prolong lockdown has many dimensions on one hand the demand for online learning courses, zoom meetings but also the need and demand for online therapists and online counsellors. Indeed the problem is huge so as the consequences, belonging from a psychology background something which strikes my mind was why not to look into the another perspective of this covid-19 lockdown which I personally defined as a journey to recognize your inner self and finding the true colours of our personality.

Of course, these days lot of us must be thinking of job stability, constant stays at home is increasing problems like family conflicts, since people are so much dependent on outside entertainment sources like movies halls, cafes, clubs etc lack of entertainment sources also leads to numbness to the people as well as also generates negative thinking. But  but…….

Every coin has two sides to it and if we look around the other side which is to utilize the time to find out the hidden talents, to develop the better you and most important to become self-aware person. In order to live at peace, one must live in the present just work for what comes in. it is said it takes 21 days to develop a habit and 2 months to turn it into a lifestyle.

In these tough times why not to look into our own self and try to dig out all the hidden talents which exist within you. This time is a great opportunity, an opportunity to not only groom yourself, your personality but also to prepare your mind, body and soul in such a synchronization that can face any challenges comes with every second moment. Undoubtedly, India is always known for producing the best human resources. So why not to increase the number by working for something which will not only develop your personality but also by becoming the creamy and talented pool available in the country.

Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi talks about the term ‘Atma Nirbhar’ well this not only works in the economical aspect but also for the personal aspects. A person should be always self-reliant and in order to be self-reliant we should always have the high scope of becoming the better version of ourselves. Thus, try to utilize this time not only working for ourselves but also with the common objective that we all work to accomplish our common goals of becoming truly self-reliant or ATMA NIRBHAR.

The choice is yours whether you just want to kill time by discussing aimlessly problems without any conclusion or attempt to find the best solutions as well as recreating the personality into the better one which eventually contributes in the personality as well as national development. For this the first thing is to restructure the brain which is commonly known as neuroplasticity. Neuroplasticity refers to the brain’s ability to restructure itself. It is something which occurs in non linear basis every day. A perfect example is reading books of motivating authors, because reading activates parts of the whole brain because as we read not only are we digesting complex language, but we are also using imagery and imaginations.

Here are some activities which can help in the neuroplasticity during this lockdown which are as followed meditation, reading, diet and space from social media. As after all,

BE THE CHANGE YOU WISH TO SEE IN THE WORLD.
