A senior bureaucrat wished to promote his son who had acquired foreign expertise in future predictions. He presented him to his boss so that he could include him in his team which decides whom to give a ticket in election or not. The boss though impressed by his foreign degree agreed to put him to the test. He did some maneuvers here and there and closed his fist and asked the young boy to predict what is enclosed in his fist. The boy thought for a moment and said what I can say for sure is that what you have is something that is circular in shape. The boss said yes, you are right. Then the boy said I can also predict that it has a hole in it. The boss was impressed and said you are right, but can you tell me what it could be? The boy said my predictive science does not tell me this but I can make a guess. Probably it is a HULA HOOP.
Artificial intelligence cannot transcend the limitations that sometimes its suggestions may be more brilliant than even that of an experienced person. Still, at other times it may be totally absurd and the GPT will be unable to distinguish. Artificial intelligence or not, one thing that is clear is that it is technology alone that can show us the path to sustainable development by arresting global warming which in turn would require cooperation and harmony among various stakeholders. United we can survive but if divided we would FAIL. (Concluded)
