Science deals with physical quantities like mass, length, time which can be measured preciously and accurately. Because we can measure, one can answer questions like which is longer than other, which is more heavy than other and so on.

To measure a quantity, you need to associate (Map) a number with it for example velocity of light c is known preciously also we can measure the velocity of any object having mass and conclude that it is always less than velocity of light.

But it is NOT true that all concepts such as happiness can be measured and a numerical value attached to it for example it does not make sense to answer questions such as whether an Indian living in USA is more happy than the one with same normalize income in India.

There are concepts that are not measurable in the strict sense it is used in physics. And can not be compared as we can easily compare the length of two rods.

If 7 > 4 > 2 one can assert that seven will be greater than 2 but if a cricket team A defeats B and B defeats C we can not conclude that A will defeat C.

Philosophy, Religion, Love deals with quantities and concepts which are fundamentally qualitative in nature their values depend upon observer, the process of observation and the object being observed. Independent of them it’s value NOT DEFINED (a subjective quantity). A good example is the concept of beauty. However a sound health is more or less an objective quantity but beauty is a completely subjective concept, as they say it lies in eyes of beholder.

Life can be better understood if we do not mix-up science with every other topic because it creates confusion and it is a useless attempt to call all subject as science. At times, It may lead to ridiculous and even disastrous results.
